Well it’s a social networking game by Zynga which reportedly has over 10 million people as registered players, can you believe it? 10 million players and growing, that fact alone makes it a newsworthy story.This game is an absolute phenomena and it’s taken the world by storm, so much so, that Hollywood is even talking about buying the rights and turning it into a major motion picture. Can you believe it?….I can.
Basically the games blurb says it all; “Start a Mafia family with your friends, run three kinds of crime businesses and via for respect. Then fight to be the ruling family in New York City."
It’s as simple as that.
It can be played on popular social networking site Facebook as well as MySpace, Yahoo and even on your Apple iphone.
It was even recently voted People’s Voice Winner at the 2009 Webby Awards.
There are hundreds of websites dedicated to it and even ones which show you how to get ahead by cheating! Youtube has literally dozens of ‘how to cheat videos and tutorials' on it.
I’m currently not a player but I soon will be…I just know it. I’m going to be sucked in sooner…rather than later.
