Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is taking the world by storm. It is only the second movie with 2008's The Dark Knight to score a massive US$200 million in just 5 days of release in the US. It is also estimated to have made US$387 million world-wide so far.
The sequel to 2007's Transformers has had mixed reviews since its release. The public and critics have been saying "it's far too long", "robots look a bit fake" and the old one "it's not as good as the original". Despite the not so glowing reviews, fans are loving it and are flocking to it in huge numbers and even seeing it more than once.
I have yet to see the new installment, but was a big fan of the original. I was one of the kids who grew up in the Transformers era in the 80's and 90's but never actually owned one, preferring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles side of growing up, but have enjoyed the movie adaptations immensely.
I'd say in a few weeks once the crowds die down, I'll be giving it a go. There's nothing like seeing a big action blockbuster on the big screen.
