Supernatural, the TV drama horror series phenomena is now well into its fifth season in the US and a bonafide hit all around the world making stars of both Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles who play brothers Sam and Dean Winchester respectively.The two demon and ‘all things paranormal’ hunters have come across plenty of scary stuff over their five years on air and it appears as if the series is destined for a sixth season in 2010 with TV execs happy with the show’s continuing high ratings.
Literally hundreds of thousands of stories have been written about the show over the years so it’s hard to find something new to talk about.

Fact 1) The pilot was filmed in California but the series is filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia.
2) Former executive producer Kim Manners died of lung cancer during season four.
3) For a short time, Dean's cell number was a real phone number, with actor Jensen Ackles reading the message: "This is Dean Winchester. If this is an emergency, leave a message.” In case any viewer actually called it…which they did.
4) Like another popular sci-fi show Lost, Supernatural does not have an opening credit sequence or theme music, only a title card, generally following a brief recap of previous episodes.
5) Dean's trademark black 1967 Chevy Impala, passed down to him by his father, has been prominently featured on the series.
6) The website featured in the episode "Hell House" is a real website set up by the show's producers.
