Hot Shot - Ed Westwick of Gossip Girl

by Peter Lang
Our hot shot for the day is one for the ladies. Yes it's none other than Edward Westwick from the hit TV series Gossip Girl.
For those who don't know Ed plays Chuck Bass in the series and he's a bit of a ladies man both on and off the screen it seems.
He is currently dating his co-star Jessica Szohr, so for now ladies, he's off the market, for now.
Next for Mr Westwick is the role of Heathcliff alongside Gemma Arterton in Diretor Peter Webber's adaption of Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights, release date expected to be in mid 2010.
Until then, Gossip Girl fans, you can enjoy him weekly on the little screen for some time to come.

Paranormal Activity 2 - Coming soon

by Peter Lang

With Paranormal Activity now the most successful low budget movie ever made (surpassing The Blair Witch Project in 1999) , it's no wonder Paramount Studios has already sounded out the makers of the original to produce a sequel sometime in 2010.
With box office figures for the film now well over $105 million in the US alone on a budget of just $15,000 is it any wonder they're keen for a number two.
At this stage there's still no word whether Steven Spielberg will be involved in any way with the project but there's no doubt Hollywood and audiences became a lot more interested in this independent film once Spielberg became involved. It's believed the original ending will be an option for the DVD version of the movie. Many who have seen it say it is even better than the one Spielberg came up with and which was ultimately used.
Producers are tight-lipped about a sequel but Extra Sources say a deal is only weeks away from being made official.
Let's hope they watch the sequel to Blair Witch in 2000 and don't make the same mistake twice.

Under Siege 3 likely says Seagal

Steven Seagal wants to see an Under Siege 3 and so do the rest of us.
The 57 year-old is eager to see the movie get off the ground saying "Under Siege 3? Everybody wants to see a sequel, including me. I would give anything to make that."

Seagal has pretty much quit Hollywood to do some off-camera work and is also a deputy sheriff near his home in Louisiana but according to reports he would be tempted to return to Hollywood if something like an Under Siege 3 came along!

Someone write a script dammit!

Yogi Bear The Movie starts filming

I didn't even know about this one but classic cartoon Yogi Bear is being adapted as a film and shooting has just begun.

Funnyman Dan Akroyd and music superstar Justin Timberlake are set to be the voice of Yogi and BooBoo and are currently shooting the live action/CGI film in New Zealand.

It's been a while since we've seen Akroyd on the big screen so this should be good and JT... well you can't go wrong with that choice!

Can't wait for this one!!

Hancock 2 delayed!

Director Peter Berg has said filming for Hancock 2 has been delayed due to a busy schedule ahead but he does promise it will start production in 2010.

Scheduling conflicts with various people involved in the proposed sequel, including Will Smith, also need to be worked out, he said.

Back in September Berg confirmed the return of stars Will Smith and Charlize Theron for the sequel to the 2008 blockbuster.

Lets hope the ending in this one is far superior to the original!
